Family - An Ecosystem
The word family is familiar to almost all of us. Some are fortunate enough to avail the experience of it and others do crave for one. Long standing researches have repeatedly indicated the importance of the family climate and how it affects the overall growth of an individual. A family can be considered as an ecosystem where each member interacts with one another that leads to transactions at various levels. These transactions form the basis that hold its members together in a holistic functional system. A typical family environment can involve various facets like

The
stability of the family climate or ecosystem depends on how well members are aware
of their role as an individual and their interactions with others in the
family. Individuals do seek comfort and security within the family system but
there may arise frictions due to conflict of interest at various levels. A
family that has a proper structure of power dynamics tends to functions more
effectively. Also, individuals who are prone to an autonomic system also
perform reasonably better. A disorganized family system is characterized by
faulty communication channels and lack of responsible members. Disorganization
may erupt due to various reasons and needs to be resolved quickly or it may
lead to breakdown of the system and barrier amongst family members.
